Experience

Annamarie is the product testing manager for Family Handyman, Taste of Home and Reader’s Digest. She and her team assess online trends, search traffic and audience engagement to determine which items warrant testing firsthand in our dedicated office space or our homes. This includes everything from kitchen appliances to beauty products to power tools. Knowing we sourced, saw and tested these products ourselves, readers can feel confident in our recommendations and, ultimately, secure in their purchases. As a former editor on Taste of Home’s print and digital teams from 2018 to 2023, and as a journalist by trade, she’s always valued the ideals of trustworthiness, fairness and integrity. She’s proud to now lead the product testing team, which assists our publications in upholding these standards, but in a new and exciting hands-on way. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, baking, reading and following around her cat.

Education

Family Handyman Editorial Policies

For more than seven decades, Family Handyman has been providing its audience with ideas, inspiration and step-by-step directions on how to maintain and enhance indoor and outdoor living spaces. In addition to having our own staff of experts, we hire individuals whose skills have been honed through years of experience in the building, plumbing and electrical trades, and as passionate homeowners who have translated DIY (do it yourself) skills into careers as respected creators.
